The Breaking Point
David’s suspicions reached a breaking point when he saw Monika with another man at The Cozy Corner. The sight of her holding hands with someone else shattered him. "I need to know who this guy is," he resolved.
The intimacy of their interaction was undeniable, confirming his worst fears. "This isn’t happening," David thought, feeling a mix of rage and devastation. His world felt like it was crumbling, the betrayal igniting an insatiable fire within him. How could Monika do this to him?
A Nagging Feeling
Even though he had asked Monika about what he saw, she had told him that he had absolutely nothing to worry about. The guy named Greg was just a colleague going through a break up, and Monika wanted to be there for him.
However, David still had this nagging feeling that was plaguing him. Was Monika really telling the truth? He needed to know if what she was saying was actually true. He wanted to trust his wife, but she had been acting way too distant and withdrawn over the last few months.
Job at the Diner
